You can check out Drill Sergeants's upgrades list to remember which upgrades are from where. Third person! I would have chosen BattleDozer any time before I went on holiday but the MIRV drill rockets aren't so good and it isn't really so great. I'm overly I tested BD at my cousins when I went on holiday! Idk my bro choose that path for Drill Sergeant.
I loved the moment while it lasted. Battle dozer, it makes him incrdibly powerful in my opinion. I defeated Kaos with him alone once. A believer of Jesus Christ. Battle dozer it breaks up the missle but does same damage he isn't the best character. Congralutions you shall be the first to witness the resurection of the destroyer MB for the win!!!
WOO hoo! Power Charge Bulldoze charge does increased damage. Auto-Blaster Targets and fires at nearby enemies automatically. Arkeyan Armor New armor makes Drill Sergeant harder to hit. Wow Pow - Futurecannon Fire energy pulses that haven't been invented yet. After getting the first upgrades, you will be given a choice between two more upgrade paths.
DXDrill Detonator Using advanced explosive charges, this causes your drills to release an explosive area of effect pulse. Hail Storm Auto-blaster fires much faster and never runs out of power. Mega Dozer Bulldozer Charge does extra damage and can charge through some attacks. You can spam it, but only at a certain speed, and it fires in three round bursts. It also has to wait for ammo recharge. Try this by shooting at a wall or something right in front of his face, you'll see.
You can also start sliding within a fraction of a second after stopping. You can do this so quickly that if your trail is sparking, when your slide stops, you can start sliding again so fast the new trail starts electrified. While others may achieve a higher speed with their moves flight, ninja flip, etc , he can maintain his while also slowing the enemy down. The third is, due to 1 and 2. Sure, your breath does a bit more damage, and bounces, but you'll never be a Trigger Happy or Drobot.
On the PS3 version which I have, sadly not Wii, but your post isn't there at least, it does 4 damage per tick, with a tick occuring times per second. The upgrade makes this do 6 on the PS3 version.
Doesn't sound like much, but remember the enemy will be going slower and can get interrupted while stuck in the stuff. Also, "Strength In Numbers" lets you have about 3x as many slime 'blobs' on the ground at once, and they last about twice as long. The other upgrade just makes them start electrified, which as I said above seems a bit of a waste, but is actually not too bad if you're fighting something that can knock you around. You play like a Tron Lightcycle, zooming around foes and daring them to smash their faces into your glowing trail.
In PvE, all you have to do is cut a line past the mobs and they'll all get stuck and die on it. You really dont need other attacks except when something's outside your sliding area guys on platforms, etc. In PvP, you have to know the maps and item spawns. Play carefully, you can mostly cut the opponent out of getting items, but you'll do more with your tail facing them than your face. Melee toons have problems, as you can leave a path that makes them suffer. Ones that have slow guided shots at a range Hi Drill Sgt, sup Hex!
Your other attacks are irritations. Your moment of glory occurs when the enemy is foolish enough to run along multiple slimes. Cancel your slide, turn to face them, and fire off a wave followed by your 3-round burst.
The wave will 'push' them back onto more slimes, while your free couple of hits will add to the damage. However, just like a Lightcycle, running into anything head on means pain, because your speed is your life.
Your only advantage is that anything trying to close in is going to lose almost as much as you. Foes with powerful long range non-guided attacks that they can use while moving will pretty much slaughter you. Which is ironic, since one of the easiest guys to kil Zap with is his fellow Water-type, Gill Grunt. On the whole, Zap isn't that great, but if you're playing him as a Tesla Dragon, you're playing him wrong. Nice analysis, Tyris. Despite me making this thread to list my favorite upgrade paths, everyone is free to post theirs and why.
I like how you and Ross with Zap went indepth with the analysis, so by all means multiple opinions are appreciated, in order to help others determine which path they want to take with each of their Skylanders. In fact, the whole level up to the area where Magic Skylanders are stronger is very good for coins.
So if you need some coins for upgrades, and if you haven't already tried, take a look there. Thank you everyone who gave their opinions on Zap. Much appreciated. SInce Megax11 said we're welcome to post our own opinions on Skylanders and their upgrade paths, I thought I'd make a post about Bash.
For Bash, I've chosen his Granite Dragon path. This path makes him ridiculously strong, though it doesn't make him a one-trick pony, as Mega would say, because this path focuses on two of Bash's moves, his tail swipe and his stone projection. If you choose this path you'll still use his roll attack too, because its good for moving around fast.
The first upgrade for Bash is a bit misleading, but pretty good, as the picture shows a huge mace in place of his tail, this change doesn't actually make the tail look like a huge mace, but it still increases the damage. The second upgrade turns the stone projection from a rock column into a huge stonefist, which increases the damage of the stone projection. With this upgrade - Gaia Hammer - it makes this upgrade chargeable, so when fully charged it turns into a huge hammer on the end of his tail which deals about damage.
This can also hit more than one enemy, so it's ridiculously strong.
